Ponder
Desperate to escape her life of neglect and abuse, 5 year old Candace Newmaker was in hopes of finding a loving and happy home. Her prayers were answered when Jeane Newmaker, an unmarried paediatric nurse from North Carolina, opened her arms and took little Candace in. At 10 years old and struggling to cope with Candace’s raging outbursts, Jeane decided to take her to psychiatrists Connell Watkins and Julie Ponder. Clear that little Candace was suffering from reactive Attachment Disorder, they declared that a rebirthing session would cure little Candace. Ultimately, she would never see the light of day again.
